How do I uninstall 'Free Ride Games' Player?

    http://www.freeridegames.com/do/faq?partner=Default&tab=technical#uninstallplayer_qs

"The 'Free Ride Games' player should be disabled before starting the uninstall process. To disable the 'Free Ride Games' player, simply right click on the 'Free Ride Games' icon, then click the "Exit" button.

(The icon is displayed on the notification bar tray next to the system time). Now you are ready to uninstall the 'Free Ride Games' player just like any other program.

    Try this Program:

    http://www.revouninstaller.com/

Revo Uninstaller helps you to uninstall software and remove unwanted programs installed on your computer even if you have problems uninstalling and cannot uninstall them from "Windows Add or Remove Programs" control panel applet.

Revo Uninstaller is a much faster and more powerful alternative to "Windows Add or Remove Programs" applet!

With its advanced and fast algorithm, Revo Uninstaller analyzes an application's data before uninstall and scans after you uninstall an application. After the program's regular uninstaller runs, you can remove additional unnecessary files, folders and registry keys that are usually left”

    Cheers.

If this program has its' own uninstaller.exe, try right-clicking on the actual Uninstall.exe and select the "Run As Administrator" option?  Do so even if your user is an Admin.

Thank you for your response. Your last suggestion is what finally worked for me.

I just had to exit the software on the task bar and then navigate to the Games folder, then right click on the uninstall , exe and run as administrator. The last thing I wanted to do is click on another one of their programs. But it worked .

I couldn't use system restore because had been disabled at some point.

    Thanks

I am reacting to the fact that I had to "fix" a computer that was "infected" by this program, and no, the uninstall through microsoft didn't work.  THe URL you pointed me to doesn't resolve on my system.  I don't generally have problems, and do not have any programs "protecting" me from web pages.  I use google as my DNS. I showed five nasties that installed within a minute of Free Ride Games that couldn't be uninstalled, but had to be identified, and removed by malwarebytes (they were identified as infections and not adware).  The uninstall Microsoft uses is provided by Free Ride Games, and should not need me to use any other instructions or products.  The uninstall used in the control panel failed because "one or more instances of the program are runnin". The  program couldn't be "turned off" in the menu bar and had to be "killed" in the task manager.  While this may not not in fact be a virus, but in my book, it quacks, waddles, smells fishy and looks avian.
