Is there going to be a Windows Media Player 13?

Are they working on a new Media Player ??

they finally added some useful codecs to 12, but tore the player apart... WHY?  I ask

you can only listen, or watch one song and not do anything else, it is so so DUMB

they should have at least made so you could dock the componants to the player

Did anyone ever compalin about the appearance or how it was laid out? NOT

they complained because it had no codecs

and they wonder why people don't use their software anymore

I have finally ended up using the ITunes player (at least its functional)

it allows you to tag your files <HINT> <HINT> though it doesn't change the actual ID tags

When I use Media Player 12... its like I am using a beta an unfinished product

They really need to put it all back together again

    Hi KarterJK,

Thank you for using Microsoft Windows forum.

IF you want to Listen to multiple songs or want to watch multiple vidoes without having to manually select one by one after each song or video is finished, you may select the songs or the vidoes you want to play, then right click and add to Windows Media player list, that way you do not have to bother about selecting a song or a video after the last song or video has finished playing.

And with reference to launching Windows Media Player 13. We do not have the information on it yet.

If you have any feedback for us you may click Windows 7 feedback

Apart from what was already said about the MUCH NEEDED new WMP, I'd really like to see better album art. There are forums and forums out there of people frustrated by the 200px images, that appear the same even in full screen (people are laughing at you!).

It's the age of touch screens, big icons and speed - it would be really nice to have the album at your fingertips while actually seeing a nice image that represents it and go through them as fast as possible.

I'm now contemplating moving to iTunes just because it seems to have it more together. And I HATE iTunes. I want my music player from Windows!!! Do something! Make it sticky and clickable and immensely useful. Find inspiration from Facebook, Google Chrome, the new Firefox 4: make it a pleasure to look at and use. I feel that I'm still in the '90s with the WMP 12.

I'm am loyal to Microsoft. I want to keep using it. I want iTunes down and WMP to reign! Do something! It's just some advice of my own and from other cases I've read about online.

The same moron(s) who made volume leveling and cross-fading features that don't work!

    Hi,

it's almost a year later than the original post. Does anyone have an update on the next version of WMP. V12 is seriously outdated by now and it requires an urgent update.

+1 on your take with WMP 12.  It truly is bastardized this time.  Why would they remove the ability to dock your equalizer?  Who was the overpaid engineer that thought of this one?  Hello?  McFly?
