I have been having trouble trying to close down my computer.  I keep getting the above messages while closing down.  This time when I closed I cannot get my computer to come back up.  What do I need to do to get this corrected and my system back up.

The CiceroUIWndframe is caused by the "Speech and Handwriting Recognition" feature of MS Office. You can turn this feature off by going to the Add/Remove Programs applet in Control Panel. Click on the entry for MS Office and then on "Change". Browse to "Office Shared Features," "Alternative User Input," and make Speech and Handwriting Recognition (both) "Not available" from the drop-down box.

The CTHelper32 belongs to your Creative sound card and can be disabled using msconfig (see below).

The hpquimzone.exe belongs to the HP Image Zone software which also does not need to run in the background.

    Start>Run>msconfig [enter]

This brings up the System Configuration Utility. Look on the Startup tab and find the probable culprit. Uncheck the box next to its name, Apply and OK out. You don't need to restart immediately, but the next time you do you'll get a dialog saying you've used the Utility. Just tick the box that says in effect, "don't bother me about this again".

Important - Do not use the System Configuration Utility to stop processes. Instead, use Start>Run>services.msc [enter] and do not stop any services unless you really, really know what you're doing.
