In the context of input languages in Windows, what is "Ink Correction"? I do not get it at all. It says under English -> Other -> Ink Correction (64Bit Only)

I'm using Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.

If this article is not of any help, then provide more information.

In the Control Panel go to 'Region and Language', select the tab 'Keyboards and Languages' and click the button 'Change Keyboards...'

The 'Text Services and Input Languages' screen pops up and in it, underneath the language, it says Other -> Ink Correction (64Bit Only). The question is, what does it do?

A bit of googling has lead me to believe it has something to do with tablet PC's and the use of handwriting. I'm assuming tablet PC's have the ablity to interpret hand written text (as by default they do not have a keyboard), and that the way the handwritten letters are interpreted differs from language to language. Maybe Ink Correction can be used to alter this interpretation? I can't think of anything else it could do, would be nice if someone could clarify :)

While using which program do you get .... ?

Swathi. You ask people the same question they asked You:  What program or user actions installs ‘Ink Correction’ on their computer without their knowledge? They would not ask this question if they knew.

So as a Microsoft specialist, can you explain what Ink Correction does and list all programs which knowingly install this feature please?

In my case. Russian Language Pack is installed. But I’ve done it few times on different computers. This is the first time I see ‘Ink Correction’.

That was a completely useless answer. I was adding "Dvorak" to my selection of available keyboards, and "Ink Correction (64bit only)" was one of the options. It was already selected, and I want to de-select it, and I don't know what would happen if I do.

    ·         While using which program do you get the option for ink correction?

    ·         What happens when you change the ink correction?

    ·         Is any language pack installed on the computer?
