- How to re-install 'Window fax and Scan' program if I do need to use it?
- The problem I now have is related to the 'Device IP address'.
- When I first started using the 'Scan' capability, I have a wireless router, the IP address is 192.168.0.100, my 'Window Fax and Scan' works great, no problem at all.
- Recently I moved to different house, I now have a Comcast wirelsess router (I don't need to use my old router any more)
- Now the problem I have is when I do the following:
*a. Open 'Window Fax and Scan'
*b. Click 'New Scan' -> New Scan menu will display
*c. I then click 'Scanner: Cannon WIA ScanGear "Change"
*d. Choose scanner -> Properties "Canon WIA Network ScanGear Properties" display
*e. "Device Selection" will have the following setting
Product Name: Canon MF4360-4390
Device Name:
Location:
IP Address; 192.168.0.100 <----- problem IP here, it should be 10.0.0.6
Feeder: ADF
I tried manually provision the 'IP Address", the value will change to the new
IP address, however, once I click 'OK', so I can continue, the IP address will
always revert back to '192.168.0.100'
- I tried to uninstall the 'ScanGear' tool and reinstall it, but it did not solve the problem
