This is a home computer, I don't have an IT Dept. The computer is not a member of a domain, it is a member of a workgroup. There are no other computers running Windows 7 on the network so homegroups do not work. There is no server other than the computer that Windows 7 is installed on, all others are Windows XP Home.
Roaming profile not accessible. Event ID 1521
When I logon I get the following message:

2010-01-15T23:36:28+00:00 Did you try a System Restore? The Roaming folder doesn't refer to "roaming profile". A roaming profile is used only in a domain so that users can get their own stuff no matter which terminal they sit down at. It sounds like your security is all messed up. "Why" is the question. Is the computer virus/malware-free? I've not ever seen that error on a home machine and other than what I've already written, have no idea what happened or how to get out of it. I'm so sorry I was unable to give you an answer. Hopefully someone else will know what to do.

2010-01-15T22:51:24+00:00 The computer was purchased from Dell in August with Vista installed. I upgraded to Windows 7 as soon as it became available. The problem did not occur until about a week ago. I can't recall if I made any change to the system just prior to this. The only other account on the system does not show this problem. I have no problem accessing the folder c:\users\appdata\bobh\roaming. I assume that this is where the roaming profile is located. Is it normal for the the security user id shown in the event detail to be "S-1-5-21-2413508478-4293979636-574072977-1007"? I would think it would be my userid.
I did delete my user account after the problem occurred and recreated it. The problem still exists.
I just noticed that in the file sharing dialog that the owner is <Unknown Contact> though the Advanced Security Settings show me as the owner.
I'm confused.

2010-01-15T14:02:36+00:00 And what does your IT Dept. have to say? Apparently there is a problem with communication between your domain member workstation and the server. They should troubleshoot this for you.
