    JameyMay,

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers Community.

Are you trying to change the Windows 7 default screensavers, or one from which you downloaded from the web?

Forgive me if you have already tried these steps, but for consistency, please do the following:

    1. Open Screen Saver Settings by clicking the Start button , and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type screen saver, and then click Change screen saver.
    2. In the Screen saver list, click the screen saver that you want to use, and then click OK.

If this does not change the screensaver, please check to see if the issue is reproduced on a guest account.  I look forward to hearing back from you.

    Hi there,

I have the same annoying 1 minute bubbles screensaver issue, I was wondering if you found a quick and easy fix, without having to buy some expensive/new software?!

Any help would be greatly appreciated =)

    Hi goldfinch7,

This response doesn't address the screensaver problem you have but it will help you with the Windows 7 Starter change wallpaper problem. Check out the link below (previous responses have been very positive, especially concerning Oceanis - it is safe and, best of all, it's free!):

This will show you how to download and use the program Oceanis Change Background Windows 7 provided by Oceanis so that you can change the desktop background with a optional desktop slideshow (shuffle) in the Windows 7 Starter edition.Stardock ObjectDesktop which will allow you to change the wallpaper (and a few other things).

    >> Another option, although it will cost you, is to purchase a third-party software e.g.

That should reduce one part of your frustration!  :-)

    All the best,

    Sharon

i also have this problem. i know that i cannot change the wallpaper on my computer, since it's 7 starter... but i haven't seen anything saying this is also an unavailable option. it's very frustrating because i cannot step away from the computer or even take any time to read what is on the screen before the screensaver kicks in after one minute. i'm ok with the bubbles, but one minute only? come on! is there anything i can do about this, or is it simply a matter of upgrading to a better version if i want to be able to change this?
