Re: Re-Install Quickbooks Pro 2010 in Win 7 Pro/64
I was dumb enough to run an Intuit Update (R5) for Quickbooks and got errors...spent 2 hours on the phone with their tech, she had me uninstall, then try the clean boot/re-install- which failed again. She also tried creating a new user account and tried to
install from there. No go. Ultimately, I get the same error every time:
I get the Error 1402: Could not open key: " UNKNOWN\Components\DD89A......
I have tried to search the registry for the complete key/value or part of it- I cannot find ANYTHING under "UNKNOWN\Components"
I am totally screwed at the moment- I cannot re-install Quickbooks which contains my business records, and I am getting desperate for any help.
Intuit says its either a Win 7 bug or a registry problem and says my only resort is Microsoft.
If there is anyone who can help, I would surely appreciate it.
I am in real trouble if I can't access my business records.
