Favorites Not Adding

Anonymous
2010-01-30T21:03:16+00:00

I'm using Windows 7, 32 bit, and awhile back I deleted the links that came standard under the "Favorites" pane, and when trying to add my own, it did not work. I've tried clicking "Restore Links" here, but it didn't do anything. And the "Add Current Location to Favorites" shortcut doesn't work either.

Any help with this would be appreciated.

    Hi johnroyal,

How are you trying to add a favorite in Internet Explorer?

    Method 1.

Let us try this way and check if it gives the option to add a website to favorites,

Right click on the page that you would like to save to favorites and click on Add to favorites.

or you can also use the shortcut here is how:

You can quickly add a Web page to your Favorites folder with a single keystroke. The page is automatically added to your Favorites list without any further input from you.

To add to your Favorites list with one keystroke

    • Press CTRL+D.

Follow thelink below about how to add favorites:

This brings IE to its default configuration.

To reset Internet Explorer settings, click the fix it provided in the knowledge base link below.

**Important:**Please note that running RIES (Reset Internet Explorer Settings) will reset all user-defined settings including those set by installed extensions, toolbars and other add-ons to IE Defaults. Have you moved your temporary internet folder (or did you upgrade from Win XP/Vista). This issue is mostly based on moved temporary internet folder location.
