Windows 7 won't work with an hp LaserJet 1300.

I have an hp LaserJet 1300.  I also just downloaded and installed Window 7 Home Premium.  They don't work together. Yesterday and today you have listed as available for download a new driver for the hp 1300 LaserJet.  But it won't download, or at least something happens that causes the download window to say download failed.  The 1300 was a very popular printer and is still doing good work now.  When can a reliable driver be expected?

I am also experiencing the same with my new Windows 7 operating system with my old Laserjet 1300 printer. Is the advertisements, where you must pay a certain amount so as to rectify the "problem", untrue? If it is false, can someone be so cruel?
