Bought my toshiba satellite p200 1eee in december second hand of course, was running well for a week but since then can just completely power off plugged into mains, even if the battery is in it still just goes dead, cable light still showing blue, changed battery bought new charger, i been searching for fixes for months now, most recent service pack uninstalled and reinstalled. past couple of days device wizard is telling me i dont have drivers for a mass storage device. i dont have a mass storage device and havn't added anything to laptop. upon the prompt it cant find any drivers for this phantom device it's trying to install either. so browsing through error codes and fixes, scanning the net etc, latest find is in system info.. a mass of disabled drivers and critical messages....i really dont understand all this stuff or know whats important or if this is normal. i'm not great with pc things but hubby knows his way about, just dont have the patience to help me find a sloution.....he will help if i find the cause... it's killing me, please help. i coppied system info, i don't know a way or if its possible to just copy the disabled ones so here goes...hope there can be some light shed on this mass of text. thanks in advance

hi dowloaded the drivers the ! disapeared, laptop still cut out as if no power, after the windows update all the error reporting view seems different i know my 200 or so red !! in error reports before was wmi, and this lappy has cut out about that many times. even though theres only 1 user me im administrator i still get continue prompts ...so many things i wonder what, lots of things in error reporting.....stuff like sharing conflicts what are they.....do i have malware, is it hardware...hubby says power etc but....everytime the laptop has just died the cable blue light is still on and not flickered... i have used it for months without a battery just plugged into mains....hubby again has told me some laptops wont run unless they have a battery in....when i did have the battery in it still cut off as if no power at all with a blue battery light etc...but now i put 1 in last night for benefit of the doubt left charging....this hasn't happened and now it has no battery light or icon on the task bar....please tell be how to easily copy error report and system info to a txt doc again to post. laptop is mainly used for playing world of warcraft, sometimes i can leave the laptop idling all day with no problems hour or so in wow and i can get black out.....i can also get the crash before i get to the log on windows screen, if this does happen its usually a few times crashinging on the toshiba splash screen just tried to open and save error reports but now it can only be done 1 by 1 the view has changed offf out but back later so i'll leave the one i could copy

also on the toshiba website there isn't laptop list for p200 1eee !!! someone on a forum mentioned that the wifi can get hot during alot of online gaming use and cut out, anyway of checking for this? also what are these drives for ;-

Hi missm0neypenny,

Let’s download the drivers for the mass storage device from Microsoft Update Catalog. To do this, follow these steps:

Type devmgmt.msc in start search box and hit Enter.
In device manager, expand the mass storage drivers listed in the device list.
Right click on it, click Properties.
In the properties window, click on details tab.
In property, select Hardware IDs.
Make a note of the number present along with DEV_ and VEN_. It is the vender ID and Device ID.
Enter the vender ID and Device ID in the following link and get the latest mass storage drivers for your computer.
