    Hi Wheelies,

    Welcome to Microsoft answers.

    ·         Was it working fine before?

The default windows drivers would not work if the device is not compatible with Windows 7, as I check in Windows 7 compatibility center this device is not supported by Windows 7.

You may refer the link to check if the device is compatible with Windows 7 from the link: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/default.aspx

As I check in the manufacturer’s website there are drivers available for this device in European countries.

    Refer the link below: http://www.lge.com/uk/support/product/support-product-profile.jsp?customerModelCode=GGW-H20L&initialTab=drivers

From the above website I noticed that it supports only Windows Vista and Windows XP operating system.

I also recommend that you contact the device manufacturer for further assistance.

    Hi Swathi,

I discused with LG, this was their reply:

    > The drive is plug and play we do not make any drivers for any of our

    > new drives as your operating system will automatically install

    > anything that is needed in order for the unit to work correctly. If

    > the drive is not showing in my computer you will want to check device

    > manager to see if it is showing with an error. If so then you will

    > want to go to Microsoft support website for further assistance.

So they offer me no help at all.

I bought this blue ray burner almost a year ago, so I assumed it would be supported by Windows 7.

So now i am being ping ponged between LG and Microsoft....

On the internet I only could find XP and Vista drivers, no 64 bit drivers.

    Regards, Herman
