Windows Media Player 12/Win 7/64 bit

I have several playlists that I no longer use.  I've tried deleting them from the playlist list in WMP 12 but they won't go away.  In addition I can't get the playlist I want onto this list in WMP 12.  I thought if I uninstalled and reinstalled WMP it would at least solve the first playlist issue.  Can you help?

Hi EBob, A. What happens when you try to try to delete the playlist? B. Do you get any error message while deleting? I would suggest you to try the following steps to delete the playlist from the media player. 1.Click the Start button , click All Programs, and then click Windows Media Player. If the Player is currently open and you’re in Now Playing mode, click the Switch to Library button in the upper-right corner of the Player. 2.In the Player Library, right-click the item that you want to delete, and then click Delete. To select multiple adjacent items, press and hold the Shift key while selecting. To select non-adjacent items, press and hold the Ctrl key while selecting. 3.If prompted, click one of the following options: •Delete from library only This option deletes the link to the file from your Player Library but it doesn't delete the file from your computer. •Delete from library and my computer This option deletes both the link to the file from your Player Library and the file from your computer. First, I would request you to create a System Restore Point manually, so that in case, something goes wrong while performing these steps, you may always perform a System Restore. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/936212 2. I would suggest you to try the following steps to uninstall windows media player 12.             1- Go to control Panel             2- Choose programs and feature (not uninstall)             3- Choose Turn Windows Feature On or Off on the left of the screen             4- Find Media Features             5- Unmark Media Features then press Ok             6- Simply restart, and reinstall media player 12 The following link will help you to download WMP12: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/ Additional information:
