    Hi yoly1997,

This issue(Error 32) may have occurred after one of the following situations:

        * You upgrade a computer to Windows 7/Vista or install Windows Vista Service Pack 1.

        * You install or uninstall CD or DVD recording programs.

        * You uninstall Microsoft Digital Image.

You may click on Fixit from the following link or perform all the steps manually to resolve the issue.

    Thank you!!

I was stuck trying to fix my uncle's HP Elite HPE-380t, on which there are two optical drives:

    1. CD-DVDW TS-H653R
    2. BD-O-DH4O3S

Neither drive was working. I would get an error, code 39, which said the following:

"**Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)"**I had tried to uninstall the driver, it would reinstall but still suffer from the same issue. I tried searching for the driver itself on HP's website, but there are none.

I followed the instructions on your post and Windows detected a "driver filter" issue, and corrected it, and now both drives are working perfectly.

    Thanks again!

This worked for me when my PC told me the driver was corrupt, and it would not recognize my CD ROM drive.

    a.        Click Start, Control Panel

    b.        In the Control Panel, click System and Security

    c.        In the System and Security window, under Action Center, click Troubleshoot common computer problems

    d.        In the Troubleshoot computer problems window, click Hardware and Sound and under Device select playing and burning CDs, DVDs, and Blu-ray Discs to automatically diagnose and fix a problem.

Fixit did not work on the HP dc8000 PC with TS-H653R installed, Windows 7 64-bit
