Logishrd

In the "My Documents" folder, I get a folder named "Logishrd" that has a subfolder called "SetPoint" and a file with no extension named "productivity". This is obviously created by the SetPoint application, but why is it in "My Documents" even when I delete it? Moreover, the file is 0 bytes, so it doesn't seem to be storing anything.

Is there a way to permanently remove it?

Thanks.

    Hello n3uromancer,

Thank you for posting to the Microsoft Answers Forum.

The file is related with Logitech QuickCam. If you no longer use the webcam you can uninstall it. That should get rid of the Logishrd folder and the contents in it. If you still use the Logitech QuickCam, then the folder will remain in the My Documents folder.

Hope this helps to answer your question.

    Thanks,

    Marilyn

    Hi n3uromancer,

Some older applications create a folder in documents and keep their files there.

Method 1: Try to delete the folder manually from Safe Mode and check.

Safe mode starts Windows with a limited set of files and drivers. Startup programs don't run in safe mode, and only the basic drivers needed to start Windows are installed.

Refer this link to boot into Safe Mode:

Start your computer in safe mode**http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Start-your-computer-in-safe-mode**

Method 2: Run the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility to clear the program as well as the folder completely.

Download, install, and then run the Windows Installer CleanUp utility to remove the folder completely.

Refer the following link to do the same:
