There is a print driver for this device available when selecting the Windows Update button in Add Printer.  If you have dialup internet find a different way to get this driver.

OKI provided the driver, this was not something MS wrote.  OKI changed the name I presume to indicate that this was the one they released to Windows Update or in Vista but OKI would be the ones to answer that question accurately.

The "Not on the Internet" argument was brought up several times when people were looking for ways to reduce the disk space required for several thousand print drivers.  To address this configuration, there was a Knowledge Base article written.  Of course one also has to have internet access to get this information which was also pointed out in the discussion.  I've take the opportunity to follow the hint to search the Knowledge Base and find the answer to one of the other questions you included in this post:  instructions for downloading the driver.

How to download updates that include drivers and hotfixes from the Windows Update Catalog

The OKI files on Windows Update are not Postscript so if the 4250 supports PCL then that is what this driver renders.  From the file set, it looks like OKI provided a basic print driver that will work with Windows applications.

I just love it when some clever spark like Alan Morris gives half an answer with search "Microsoft Knowledge base"

What sort of answer is that?   How does the user get this driver from the microsoft site if they do not have an internet connection, or how do I download the driver from microsoft and then go install on the other users machine? User is hundreds of miles from anywhere and sits with a Win7 machine and a OKI B4250 printer.  I have also just put OKI on my list of "Unrecomended Printers" OKI says buy new printer, custome Says can I down grade to XP as I have several OKI printers. I am impressed to see Micosoft has a driver, Well Done. Not sure what (MS) after the printer means no PCL will it still work or print from all applications?

Unless Okidata makes a driver available it's not very likely you will find any other way to make the printer work.  You might check the manual that came with the printer and see if it supports a compatible mode that emulates another printer, that might be supported.
