How to remove Lavasoft Adware

I have Ad ware  by Lava soft on my PC-ity was not active until I looked at it last week to see what was the status. I now seem to have half installed updates which in turn are interfering with the stsrt up process when I turn my PC on.

I have tried to uninstall it, load it in full etc. My diagnostics says it is slowing the computer but \i cannot switch it off as it does not show on my start up menu.

What to do to get rid of the program?

    Hello ubdrm,

Go to the Start button, in the Start Search box, type in Services. It should be listed at the top of the left pane.

Next, scroll thru the list of services and find one for Ad-Aware or a similiar name.

Right click on the Service and select Properties.

Go to the Startup Status and select "Disable" Do not choose manual or automatic.

    Next, reboot your computer.

You should now be able to remove the Ad-Aware program thru Control Panel or you can try the Revo uninstaller again.

Please reply back with an update and let us know your status.

    Sincerely,

    Marilyn

Repost in the above Forums, or try information below:

Try using this Program to remove it:

    http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html

Revo Uninstaller helps you to uninstall software and remove unwanted programs installed on your computer even if you have problems uninstalling and cannot uninstall them from "Windows Add or Remove Programs" control panel applet.

Revo Uninstaller is a much faster and more powerful alternative to "Windows Add or Remove Programs" applet!

With its advanced and fast algorithm, Revo Uninstaller analyzes an application's data before uninstall and scans after you uninstall an application. After the program's regular uninstaller runs, you can remove additional unnecessary files, folders and registry keys that are usually left”

    Cheers.

Go to Lavasoft's Forums then. I've given you the link.

It is Lavasoft's 3rd Party Software you are trying to remove.

This is the Vista Installation Forum.

    Cheers.
