"The folder could not be included in..." error trying to add to a library.

I am trying to folders to my Music library.  This worked fine until I tried to add the fifty-first one.  Apparently, there is a limit of 50 locations in a library.  Is there a way to change this?  This seems like a serious limitation to me.

Hi

Yes, there is a 50 folder limit for the Libraries.

This limitation applies to Parent (Top Level folders).

You can solve this problem by reorganizing and combining some of the existing folders in the Library into one parent folder.

Hope this helps.

Thank You for using Windows 7

Thank you for providing an answer on this.  That seems like a rather low limitation.  I am certain there are many users who, like me, prefer to organize their music by artist and have more than fifty artists to organize.  Now I have to figure out how to reorganize.

Let me add a little to what I said above:

In order to "reorganize" into Top Level folders, I have to physically create those folders and then move my music into them.  This means my playlists will all need to be edited to reflect the new path.  This goes beyond being a major inconvenience.

Let me make it perfectly clear what I am talking about.  Currently, I have my music organized in folders like this:

    D:\My Music

        Artist 1

            Album 1

            Album 2

        Artist 2

            Album 1

            Album 2

    etc.

My playlists rely on this structure to find the music in them.  For example, I might have a line like this in a playlist file:

    D:\My Music\Artist 1\Album 1\Song Title 1.mp3

What you're suggesting I do is change the structure, so I have something like:

    D:\My Music

        Category 1

            Artist 1

                Album 1

                Album 2

            Artist 2

                Album 1

                Album 2

        Category 2

            Artist 3

                Album 1

                Album 2

    etc.

It's easy to see this breaks the playlist.  D:\My Music\Artist 1\Album 1\Song Title 1.mp3 no longer exists, it's now D:\My Music\Cateogry 1\Artist 1\Album 1\Song Title 1.mp3  So every line in every playlist needs to be changed to reflect the new structure.  I know I don't have the largest collection of songs on my hard drive, but it's going to be an immense task for me to make this work.
