    Hi fred1530,

Do you have the music files in MP3 format?

    Method 1

Let’s follow these steps to transfer music files to SD card.

    Step1

Plug-in the SD card on your computer. To import your media stored on the SD card click exit, since you want to upload music to this SD Card from your computer.

    Step 2

Click start, go to computer and click it to open. Scroll down the list of drives available until you have found the SD Disk drive.

    Step 3

Now you are ready to transfer the files. Finally, locate your music files on your computer and copy and paste them into the open drive.

    Step 4

The amount of storage is limited, you can only use the amount of space your SD card allows. Once it has reached, its closest capacity without going over you cannot add anymore media until you transfer the files elsewhere or delete them.

    Method 2

If the music files are not .mp3 format you may use your favorite search engine and download third party Converter.

Note:  Using Third Party Software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from booting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems resulting from the use of Third Party Software can be solved. Using Third Party Software is at your own risk.

Then use Windows Media Player to synchronize the SD card. For more information refer this link.

Thyis is a way longer and pain in the butt to do. My car radio uses sd cards and this way stops the from working. What was wrong with using the sync on the windows media player? Works way faster and less hassle. Please put the sync mode back into effect on the windows media player!!!!!! Also this way recommended does not put files in order. Not alphabetically or other. This Sucks. Please put windows media player Sync back into effect.

Hi, I have copied CD music from disc via Media Player to computer hard disc. Synced then transferred to SDHC card.

Computer plays from hard disc copy and SDHC card nicely. Try to use SDHC card in my intergrated system in my new card and the media player refuses to play stating files are WMA encrypted. Where do I go from here please?

Needless to say CD plays well in car but I do not want to travel with 50 separate CDs!
