    Hello rockdparty,

This issue may occur because the default 3DFX Glide drivers that are used by FIFA 2002 are not compatible with Windows XP.

To resolve this issue, run the "FIFA 2002 3D Setup" program, and then select the device with the Direct 3D '[D3D]' suffix.

    Hi,

Data Execution Prevention (DEP) is a security feature included in modern Microsoft Windows operating systems that is intended to prevent an application or service from executing code from a non-executable memory region. This helps prevent certain exploits that store code via a buffer overflow, for example. DEP runs in two modes: hardware-enforced DEP for CPUs that can mark memory pages as non-executable and software-enforced DEP with a limited prevention for CPUs that do not have hardware support. Software-enforced DEP does not protect from execution of code in data pages, but instead from another type of attack (SEH overwrite).

I would suggest you to disable DEP (Data Execution Prevention) and check whether you are able to play the game. Follow the steps mentioned below.

    a.       Click Start

    b.      Select Control Panel

    c.       Select System

    d.      Click the Advanced tab

    e.      In the Performance region select Settings

    f.        Click the Data Execute tab in the dialog box that opens

    g.       Select Turn on DEP for all programs and services except for those I select

    h.      Click Add.

    i.        The open dialog box will open. Browse and select your application.

    j.        Click Open

    k.       Click Apply

    l.        Click Ok

    m.     Reboot the system

**Note:**Don’t forget to turn on DEP once you have done testing.

    Thank you and Regards.
