Just do what Daniel Bragg says to do.  It work for me.  I did not safely remove hardware from my computer.  I plugged the device that I did not remove properly back into my computer.  I went to the safely remove hardware screen.  Now I did not know which one to remove from the list that was given to me so I told my computer to safely removed all my USB devices.  I unplugged them all from my computer, then I plugged them all back in.  The error message is gone.  Thanks Daniel.

I've encountered this before and it's been a nightmare.  What to do when you don't have the USB, CD, DVD, etc. to put back in?  I didn't know you about the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon in the tray.  Clicked it, chose the item to remove, got a box with a bunch more choices (various drive letters and devices).  The first one I tried got stuck, so I terminated it and tried again on another one.  In a few moments, it was stopped, all the other drives and devices were cleared from the box, and the "Windows No Disk" popup window went away.  :) :) :)

A note for others reading this:  While the "Safely Remove Hardware" solution worked quickly and perfectly for me on this occasion, I had the same problem previously and believe that it was very likely a virus at that time.  The "Windows No Disk" pop up always occurred during boot up.  Believing that I'd find a solution eventually, I just kept clicking the OK or Cancel button until it went away (about 24 clicks if I remember right).  However, after doing this quite a number of times (every time I booted the computer), I had to take the machine to the shop for something and they said it was infected with a virus in dozens or hundreds of places (possibly one place for each click?).  I use a good anti-virus, but was on dial-up at the time so it may not have been up-to-date.  If the "Safely Remove Hardware" fix doesn't work, it would be wise to check for viruses (listed as the cause of the "Windows No Disk" pop up in other discussions).

I'm having this same problem.  I did not unplug my external hard drive without it being safe to remove..I repluged it in and then did another safe to remove hardware, and it did not work for me..It is only, as far as I know, affecting one program that I'm trying to use..This program worked perfectly 3 days ago, but now it will not..Every time I try to use the program I get  "Windows No Disk" error message cooooo13 parameters 75b6bf7c4  75b6bf7c..

Spent a while scanning for viruses, checking the disk, changing drive letters, uninstalling quicktime and was considering trying combofix (with caution), then read this post!

As I read this realised I had earlier plugged in an external USB drive and just switched off, left it plugged in without safe removal. Switched it back on, safe removal and 'hey presto' simple fix, wish I had read this post before all the others doh!
