My specialty my Friend, hehehe... FOLLOW CAREFULLY

From your guest account>Start>Run Type in "cmd"

Once Command prompt opens up type in

    net user guest /add administrator

    Hit enter

This works on just about any and all computers I have tried it on, it elevates the guest account to administrator status, where you are free to edit and change things you need to change.

    OR

From your guest account>Start>Run Type in "cmd"

Once Command prompt opens up type in

Net user administrator(Or the name of your administrator account) *

    Hit enter

You'll now be able to enter a password for that account. Confirm the password and Voila! You should now be able to log onto your administrator account with the new password that you set.

    OR

Start system and when you see Windows Welcome screen, press ctrl+alt+del keys twice and it'll show a Login box. Now type Administrator in Username and leave Pword blank. Now press Enter and you should be able to logon.

Now you can reset your account password from the Control Panel and User Accounts.

    OR

Enter safe mode by restarting the computer and pressing f8 repeatedly until a screen somes up that gives you some options, use your arrow keys to highligh "Boot windows in safe mode" When you boot windows in safe mode you will see a new account on the login screen and that is titled Administrator, click it, there is no password (Unless you changed it.)

If you have forgotten your password, if you have another user account with administrative privileges you can log into that account and change your original user account's password from the User Accounts applet in Control Panel. If you don't have another account like this set up or don't have the password to it, you'll need to log into the built-in Administrator account. In XP Home, boot the computer into Safe Mode. Do this by repeatedly tapping the F8 key as the computer is starting up. This will get you to the right menu. Navigate using your Up arrow key; the mouse will not work here. Once in Safe Mode, you will see the normally hidden Administrator account. The default password is a blank.

In XP Pro, you do not need to go into Safe Mode. At the Welcome Screen, do Ctrl-Alt-Del twice to get the classic Windows logon box. Type in "Administrator" and whatever password you assigned when you set up Windows.

If you have XP Pro or Media Center and were using the built-in Administrator account for your regular work and it is therefore the only user account on the system, there are ways to change the password for that account to a blank. Microsoft doesn't permit us to tell you how in these forums. Their house, their rules. Use Google or ask a local computer tech (not a BigComputerStore/GeekSquad type of place).

    Try leaving it blank.

If that fails, then try starting in Safe Mode and see if the hidden administrator exists. You'll know straightaway because there will be an administrator there that you don't recognise. That may have a blank password. You can change the password on your account from any other administrator account and it doesn't hurt to have at least two administrator accounts in case you run into trouble with one. (Been there, done that... a program crashed and disabled the only administrator account we had.)

When you've finished, you should set passwords on all the accounts to help protect your computer when it's on the internet and if there's no reason not to tape a list of the passwords to the bottom of your computer, that would be a good way not to lose them again. Or make floppy disks of the passwords in the User section of the Control Panel. And whichever account you normally use to go on the internet should be made a plain user, even if you have to make a new Normal mode administrator first.

So,you have **lost Windows XP Password**and it is user account password! It is more easy to reset user account. You need to reboot your machine. Press F8 before the Windows boot screen appears. You will be be prompted with a boot options menu.Select the Start Windows in Safe Mode option. Click through several self- explanatory screens until your reach the familiar 'Welcome' screen. Find the icon for the Administrator user. If the default settings of your system haven't been changed, there should be no password for this account. Login as the admin. And last,go to control panel, click user account, change the password.Well,The best way for you is using a third party tool like**Windows Password Key** which considered as the best tool to reset local administrator and user passwords on any Windows system. With this,i think you can**reset windows password**more easily and fast!!

Hope you can solve your problems soon.
