Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a01a8' - This is the first line of a 3 line error message. I am unable to access a secure website that I have used for a few years. I'm using Windows XP and IE8.

2nd line:  Object required:'db_query_array(...)'

3rd line: /olb/apps/computer_info.asp, line 172

Should these 3 lines look familiar to anyone, or if someone can reply with the stops used to correct this error message - your help will be greatly appreicated.  Microsoft won't "talk" to me because of the warranty expiration of Internet Eplorer 8.

Thank you, in advance, for suggestions and/or help.

Peggy

This a problem with programming language which this Form or Page been written with?

Without the complete code we can't help and even with the code sometimes can be a headache to produce the same scenario and test.

Did you contact them ( The site owner) or tried another browser like Firefox?

Thank you for the help.  I had contacted the site owner with no resolution.  I have followed up on your Firefox suggestion and this has proven successful.  Why does using Firefox work when Internet Explorer didn't?  Is it beneficial to make Firefox my default browser (up until now, I've only used Internet Explorer)?  Thank you, again.  Your help is much appreciated.

May I suggest using Google Chrome as your default browser. Chrome is very fast and convienvent.

    Hi,

Glad you got it sorted! Don't set Firefox as Default browser. Just check the box don't show this message again or uncheck the check box for it on the Fox settings.

Tools >> Options >> Advanced Icon:

    Sytem Defaults:

[   ] Always check to see if the Fox is the default browser on start-up << Uncheck this check box and click [OK]

Firefox is better as it has the Java engine built into it and can parse the code better than IE!

    Good luck
