I would like to inform you that please perform following steps to create hidden share:

    1. Right click on the folder name and select properties.
    2. Click on the Sharing tab.
    3. Check mark in front of Share this folder write the share name <foldername$> ($- represents hidden share).
    4. Click on Apply, ok.

Now, nobody can access or see this folder in your network.

You can access it bu using UNC path.

To open this folder please type full path and folder name with $ sign in the RUN box and click on Ok.

(Ex-Click on start/Run and type "c:/xyz$" without qoutes and click on ok.)

Please reply if it helps you.

    Yes DaIos,

The Hidden share will be as it is, even after you restart the machine.
