My Dell has gone into power save mode and won't come out

My Dell has gone into power save mode and won't come out? Any suggestions? I can't get anything but a screen that says it's in power save mode and to push a key or move the mouse. Neither of those does anything. Neither does unplugging it.

    Hi Ma32206,

Dell monitors automatically go into power-save mode after a preset amount of time when the computer is inactive. The Dell monitor will go completely black, instead of showing a screensaver. This allows your monitor to essentially turn off until it's needed again.

    A.   Press any key on your keyboard or move your mouse. Either will turn off power-save mode. Alternately, you can press the power button on your Dell computer tower or laptop.

    B.   Press any key a second time if the monitor goes from power-save to stand-by mode. Stand-by mode allows the screensaver to appear.

If it's a laptop, unplug it and remove the battery, then replace the battery and plug it back in before restarting.  If it's a desktop, unplug it and let it sit for several hours or overnight and then try again.

I will not know until monitor goes into Power Save Mode again.  I will try your suggestions.  Thanks very much!
