Ouch! Please don't yell at us. We can hear you if you type normally,

    in mixed case.

Word is a full-featured word processor. NotePad is a very simple text

editor, with next to no formatting features, and is not at all a

    substitute for Word.

WordPad is sort of in the middle, between the two. It's a little

closer to a word processor than NotePad, but has nowhere near the set

of features that a real word processor has.

If you want to do columns, you need a word processor. Buy Word (either

alone or as part of Microsoft Office) or WordPerfect (my personal

favorite). Or try the free downloadable OpenOffice, which is in many

    ways like Word.
