I am running a Windows 7 ver.6.1(build 7600).Whenever i try to receive a large file (greater than 300 kb or so) through bluetooth ,after showing some progress ,windows displays an error -

''Windows was unable to transfer some files.

The transfer was canceled by Bluetooth device or Bluetooth enabled computer."

But windows is able to SEND large files to my mobile though. But this did not use to happen in my windows xp.

Is this problem in my PC or is it a problem in windows 7? And how can i fix it??

Please help.!

Get the latest drivers for your Bluetooth hardware for Win7 (32 or 64-bit depending on your version) and install them.

    Hi Malkeleah,

I also am having this issue. I have a generic Bluetooth radio, and so I can only use the built-in Microsoft stack. When I use this same radio on an XP machine, the transfer works fine, but when I use the radio on a Windows 7 machine (I tried two different machines), the transfer fails. I cannot go to the computer manufacturer's machine, as this is an external USB radio, and the radio does not list a manufacturer.

Again, sending from the PC works fine, but receiving on a Windows 7 machine fails after about 300K. Receiving on a Windows XP machine with the same hardware works for all file sizes.

Please tell me how to proceed. Thanks.

I have already tried to do that before, but when i open Device Manager and try to update my Bluetooth Radio drivers, Windows states that they are already up to date.

I am doubtful that this is perhaps a problem in Windows 7 only as this never used to happen in my Windows XP SP3 and Microsoft should release an update to resolve this issue.

But i strongly believe that there is no need of updating any hardware because i am using the very same Bluetooth Dongle and the PC hardware which i used to have when windows XP was installed on it.The only difference is that earlier it was Windows XP and now it is Windows 7.(It worked absolutely fine on XP) I still believe that it might be a problem related to Windows 7. Therefore,If possible, please try to do this on any other PC having Windows 7 installed.(Try to receive any file larger than 1 Mb on your PC from any bluetooth enabled mobile phone using a bluetooth dongle.)

    Please help!!
