Installing XP and need service pack 1 (SP1) disk

I would like to download the ISO file for the XP SP1 and XP SP2 service pack disks for XP Pro. Just the SERVICE PACKS. I already have the XP Pro disk.

I can not find a link to order the SP disks, nor can I find a link to download the SP ISO images.

Unfortunately the XP SP3 disk does not have the file "asms" that the XP Pro installation is looking for.

When I click on the Order CD links for SP1 or SP2 it takes me to the SP3 order pages.

I am installing XP Pro on an Intel i5 system.

The XP SP3 help pages say that either SP1a or SP2 needs to  be installed first.

Hi PA Bear, Many thanks for your many answers. I looked at every link and see that you say that the XP SP2 ISO is no longer available.

I can not get XP to install at all so downloading a .exe will not be of any value at this point of the install. This is why I need the XP SP2 disc or the ISO file.

I could not find any link to order the XP SP2 disc.

Unfortunately XP SP3 disk does not have all of the XP SP2 info. And hence XP SP2 is required before the XP SP3 service pack can be installed. And the XP SP3 disc does not have the "asms" file required to install XP.

Once the XP install sees that the "asms" file is not available, it aborts the download if you do not provide a CD with that file on it.

XP (32 bit) is not installed yet as it is prompting to find file "asms" on the XP SP1 disk. I can not run any .exe files as there is no OS yet. This is why I need the XP SP1, XP SP1a, or XP SP2 service pack disks. Not sure why MS does at least provide the XP SP2 ISO file?

If WinXP Gold isn't installed, you're not gonna be able to use any SP2 disk.
