Windows Update will download a driver update for NVIDIA if it detects NVIDIA hardware. If you don't have NVIDIA hardware then uninstall the downloaded drivers, otherwise right-click on the Desktop and open the NVIDIA control panel. From this control panel you can change your resolution to the desired settings.
Text and graphics small after installing Nvidia drivers
Original title: NVIDIA Drivers
NVIDIA GeForce self installed on my computer . Now the words and graphics are so small we are having trouble reading them. We run Vista. Is there a way to change the screen back to our previous settings or should I uninstall the program? Is this a true Microsoft upgrade ?

Hi Ultrasoundtech58,
Did you upgrade to Windows 7?
In addition to Zuhl3156 's and smlunatick's suggestions, you might want to follow these steps:
Step 1:
First do a system restore and check if it helps.
Step 2:
You could also uninstall and reinstall the display drivers and check.
a. Click Start, type Device Manager in the Start search box and hit Enter.
b. Locate Display adapter and expand the same.
c. Select the display adapter you wish to uninstall.
d. Right-click and select Uninstall.
Follow the on-screen instructions. Restart the computer, if prompted.
After the computer restarts, visit the manufacturer’s website(as suggested by smlunatick) and download and install the latest display drivers and check if that fixes the issue.

2010-07-28T08:25:10+00:00 Never let MS install a driver, especially for a video adapter like NVidia. As Zuhl3156 said, you can change the resolution to whatever you want.
You can also "roll back" the driver. Right Click on My Computer and select "Manage". Open the Hardware Manager and expand the "Display Adapters" item. Right click on the NVIDIA adapter. Select "Properties. Select the "Driver" tab. There should be a "Roll Back Driver" button.

2010-07-22T00:21:19+00:00 Thank you Zuhl3156. I have uninstalled the downloaded drivers two days in a row and they have reinstalled the next day. I was able to go in the control panel and change the resolution which has helped these two 60+ yr olds see the screen.

2010-07-20T15:02:28+00:00 The Windows Update drivers versions are generally "older" versions. If you really have a nVidia Geforce video card, head over to www.nvidia.com and get the latest WHQL driver for your model.
