Sorry, I meant the software package DriverMax, not driver manager. Windows 7 driver manager I have used also to attempt to resolve the problem, to little avail. I've also tried using drivers downloaded from - CSR, Realtek, nvidia, Intel, ie, the manufacturers of specific devices.
Multiple Driver Conflict
Seeking Multiple (?) Driver Conflict Resolution/Shutdown/Kernel Errors for Windows 7. Teach me how to fish!__
Hi. I'm new to this, so I'm going to ask someone to help in as forensic a way as possible so that I don't have to come back again if a similar problem strikes.
Essentially I have an LG A1/Dual Express with Windows 7Home Premium. It was previously a Vista Business machine but when the opportunity came to upgrade I took it. Since then I seem to have had nothing but issues with it, specifically revolving around sleep/hibernate. It seems related to a driver issue, possibly one of the following - CSR Bluetooth/Intel Wireless Adapter/Realtek Audio/unspecified Intel driver.
I have tried every new driver available for these devices, across multiple iterations, to no avail. Laptop frequently fails to shutdown on critical battery action, resulting in having to boot to safe mode. Hard reset sometimes required due to black screen of death. Wireless adapter often fails - when auto-resolve is attempted, bluescreen of death reveals a kernel error of various descriptions.
Event log viewer shows a ridiculous amount of problems I have no idea how to resolve. Could someone instruct me what information is pertinent to post here, step by step, in the hope of isolating the problem(s) and resolve them? IE, minidump logs, event logs, system info, etc etc.
Your helps is appreciated. I had considered I may have a failing hard drive or RAM but this may not be the case. Also, have not been able to flash/update the BIOS to see if that resolves anything - I do not want to make current problems worse!
Help and patience appreciated - I really want to take my laptop on the road with me but at the moment its often a bit of a pain.

2010-05-05T20:03:46+00:00 Repeat: The only place to get drivers for an operating system for a laptop is from that laptop mftr.'s website. Laptop hardware is proprietary, made just for that laptop mftr. and for that specific model laptop. Drivers from anywhere else will in all probability not be the correct ones. This includes Windows Update. If your laptop doesn't support Windows 7, then restore it to the operating system that it came with.

2010-05-05T14:55:08+00:00 Well, I have updated every device through Windows Update, and failing that, Driver Manager. There have been improvements since using my current config/drivers (mainly using rather than most current drivers provided through Driver Manager), but the system remains essentially unstable. LG is a difficult mftr to find support with - some international sites still list my model, but most do not, and none provide driver packages. I believe its possible the LG A1 does not fully support Windows 7, as the LG website in Australia is useless in terms of finding such information and support. The Intelligent Update software supplied by LG (even under Vista) was effectively inoperable - no updates were ever listed, everything went through Windows Update. Prior to the upgrade even however I would have inconsistent behavior with sleep/hibernation. So the mftr provided insufficient support to begin with. I've pored over many threads on different forums and the LG A1 is not a particularly common machine, so help has been difficult to come by.
If you could suggest a more diagnostic approach that would be ideal, and much appreciated.

2010-05-05T12:10:22+00:00 Since this is a laptop you will only get drivers from the laptop mftr. So I don't know what "I have tried every new driver..." means. If you got drivers from anywhere except the laptop mftr., that's why you are having difficulties. Are you sure this laptop supports Windows 7? All of the issues you describe indicate that you don't have the correct drivers.
