    Hi,

The functions in windows 7 are not the same as in windows XP. There are several changes made. So you will be not able to find many functions at the same locations in windows 7.

    1)   You may do the following:

        a.    Open Network and Sharing Center by clicking the Start button, and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type network, and then click Network and Sharing Center.

        b.    Click on “Change adapter settings” which will be on the left side.

        c.    Right click on the Local area connection icon and enable it.

    2)   If not, try this. Disabling the LAN will disable the network adapter. So try enabling the network adapter

Also refer to “How do I fix network adapter problems?” http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/How-do-I-fix-network-adapter-problems

    3)   Run the network troubleshooter.

    Hi

MTNL TRIBAND is a DSL service that works with a Modem/Router supplied by the ISP.

The DSL works through a Network Connection from the Computer to the Router, and the Internet.

I do not understand in this regard what disable LAN means.

How did you Disabled LAN in XP?
