    You probably cannot, HP doesnt have win7 software / drivers, you are therefore using default win7 drivers which does not have all the features of the HP software

    Late reply, I know, but I had the same issue and figured out how to do:

    Since this is a network printer, you can type the printers IP-address into your browser and get info about toner level (and much more) there. If you don't know the IP-address you can go to Printing Preferences -> Services -> Device and supplies status -> Go!
