    Hi handc,

    1.    What is the version of windows on the other computer?

    2.    Have you made any recent changes on the computer?

    3.    What happens when you try to access internet?

    4.    Which web browser are you using to access the internet?

    5.    Are you using wired or wireless internet connection?

    Method 1

Check if the orange live box and network adapter are working properly using the device manager.

    a)   Open Device Manager by clicking the Start button

    b)   Click Control Panel, click  System and Security, and then, under  System, click  Device Manager.‌ If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    Method 2

Try the below step only if you are using Internet explorer as the web browser.

If both the devices are working fine in the device manager I would suggest that you reset the Internet explorer browser settings to default and check.

If the above step fails then try resetting the internet explorer settings to default and check.

For more information refer the below link.

How to reset Internet Explorer settings

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923737

Important: Reset Internet Explorer to its default configuration. This step will also disable any add-ons, plug-ins, or toolbars that are installed. Although this solution is quick, it also means that, if you want to use any of those add-ons in the future, they must be reinstalled.

    Method 3

If the above steps fail then I would suggest that you check if you are able to connect to the internet in the safe mode with networking.

**Note:**Try this step only if you are using an wired internet connection.

Steps to boot to Safe mode with networking

    1.    Restart your computer if it is powered on.

    2.    Tap the F8 key after your computer initially powers on.

    3.    Once you see the Advanced Boot Options menu you can stop tapping.

    4.    Use the up/down arrow keys to highlight your selection.

    5.    Select Safe Mode with Networking and press Enter.

    6.    You should see drivers loading, and then Please wait.

    7.    You should then be at the Welcome Screen.

    8.    Logon to your computer using an account with Administrator privileges.

    Hope this helps!

    Thank you for your reply.

I have since realised what I have done .

I tried to link my father-in-laws laptop with the Livebox as it needed access to the livebox.

Instead of pairing it, I reset the Livebox.!!!!!

All sorted now. I had to go into the homepage and reset passwords and stuff and it let me go online again.

    once again thank you.
