How do I put icons on the bar at the bottom?

I'd like to put icons, like my email access, MS Word, etc. on the bottom left side of the bar (start bar?).  Please tell me how to do that .  Thanks

    That is the Quick Launch toolbar. The part of the Windows Taskbar between the Start button and the minimized program tabs.

    If you do not have a Desktop icon for a program you want, find it in All Programs and Right Click | Send To | desktop (create shortcut) and then just drag the icon from the Desktop to the toolbar.

    Hi,

    I would suggest you to follow these steps and check if it helps.

    1. If the Quick Launch bar is not displayed, right-click an empty area on the taskbar and click Properties.
    2. On the Taskbar tab, under Taskbar appearance, select the Show Quick Launch check box and click OK.
    3. Once you launch that, you can drag the programs to task bar.

    Note: You cannot add a shortcuts or you cannot drag a shortcut to quicklaunch tool bar.
