USB Video Device not working when I try and install my Microsoft LifeCam VX-700. What do I do?

I recently bought a Microsoft LifeCam VX-700 to use on my Windows 7 operating system on my Acer laptop.

When i plugged it in - it did not work.  The error message i get is:

There is a problem with the driver for USB Video Device.  Reinstalling this driver might fix the problem.

Where and how do i do this?  Thanks, KatLa

Download the Windows 7 drivers from here. Install the drivers with the webcam UNPLUGGED. The installation process will tell you when to plug it in..

I tried the link but could not find the download for Microsoft  LifeCam VX-700. But I did find one for VX-800.  Is that the same or . . .?
