Okay, so I accidentally changed my resolution to a higher setting than my computer could handle and now it's just black and it says that the monitor cannot display that resolution. What can I do to change it back? Is there even a way to change it back? PLEASEEE HELP!!!

    Hi A. Garcia,

Boot your PC into 'safe mode' then chnage the screen resolution back to it's original setting.

To boot into safe mode, switch your PC on and, as it is booting, keep tapping the F8 key. You should see a menu appear. Select Safe Mode from that menu. One in safe mode right click on the desktop, select Personalize and then choose Display setting. Use the slider to reduce the resolution of your screen  and then click OK. You will be asked if this is the resolution you want so click OK again and then restart your PC normally.

Boot into Safe Mode by restarting your computer, and then repeatedly pressing F8 after the computer's BIOS/POST sequence is done (this is where the computer logo and/or hardware information is displayed early during start-up) but before Windows starts to load.  Go into the display settings and crank the resolution down as far as it will go, then restart the computer normally.  That should get things back to where you can see and change settings again.
