    Hi,

    Either works.

COMMAND brings up the "Command Prompt"  to Right Click on (which of course runs CMD.exe)

CMD runs CDM.EXE direct though it still needs to be Right Clicked on.

Command sets the command prompt to  -  C:\Users\Your User Name>

CMD sets the command prompt to  -  C:\Windows\System32>

Command.com is the legacy command processor from DOS and Windows 9x. It was superseded some 15 years ago by the Windows NT command processor, cmd.exe. On my current Windows 7 machine there is no command.com or command.exe. Does it exist on your machine?

Shouldn't this be cmd rather than command?

Sounds like malware or a virus. Does the problem persist in Safe Mode? Have you tried System Restore?
