Windows XP was released to the public on October 25, 2001. I'm not familiar with anything called "Version 2", and none of the Windows timelines that I've looked at mention it. "Version 2002" refers to the product released in 2001.

What was the release date for Windows XP Professional, Version 2? (no sevice packs dates)
The System Properties simply states "Version 2". More specifically, was version 2 released before April 2002?
