    Hello,

According to the Amazon site Kindle has support for Win7.  But it does not specifically say Win7 64 Bit.  The best suggestion we can offer is to check out the Kindle Support page for Kindle Registration on your PC locatedhere .

These forums are designated for Win7 support and you have to check the manufacturer's website for support of 3rd party products.

    Regards,

I am having the same issue -- it down loads, installs and then crashes on start up.

I have been running Win 7, 64 bit OS,  an an ASUS machine with Phenom quad core.  I downloaded and installed Kindle for PC and purchased two books.  Both are fine.  I can add notes to the document.

I have a book on Microsoft Access and am switching back and forth between Access and the book constantly.I do have some trouble getting Kindle's attention.   I click on the top and press page up and down and it ignores me.  I can click on the Go To a Location and select the next page and sometimes it starts working.  It seems like everywhere on the page is a link to something and when I click on the page to regain focus, suddenly I am somewhere else.

I really want continuous scrolling.  Reading a step to perform that is on the bottom of one page and the top of the next is a pain.

    All in all, its okay.

    Hello

I had the same problem. The way I fixed it is to : change your keyboard IME to non-Office IME. Believe it or not, it fixed mine. It was the only method posted online I could find. Do this in control panel > language/region > keyboard.

Alex, I even installed the 32 bit and did work.  Any ideas, they tell me that it is MS's issue.
