i have problem keeping the battries charged on my laptop!

Once removed from power supply low battery indicator warns 7% battery charge remaining winthin a second or two

Replacing the battery does not solve the problem!

A VERRY INTRESTING OBSERVATION !

I was installing  and running some securituy software from my internet provider.  While the software was doing its thing starting and stopping services I noticed something intresting.............

My battery was charging fine! I removed the power and the battery was reported @ 100% and peformed just fine for 30 min.  Once the software was done the problem came back!

Is it possible for a virus of som type to cause this problem.

    Hi big95n011037,

Not likely to be a virus, most likely to be a BIOS or driver error. Check the System maker for

updated BIOS, low level chipset drivers, and other possible fixes. Check with their forums.

Check the other thread you have replied in for more info on battery issues.
