Thanks for that. I only installed 7 after deciding the nvidia card would not work so can't do system restore to a time before.
Multimedia video controller/Realtek PCI GBE Family Controller
I have recently upgraded to W7 64bit and am a keen camcorder enthusiast. I purchased an Nvidia 8400 graphics card and was unable to get it to work so uninstalled it
Since then I have not been able to get my system and Pinnacle 14 Editing program to connect through Firewire with my video camera.
In devise manager against the above items I am showing yellow triangles. If Idouble click on Multimedia controller to update drivers Iget "windows can't find drivers for this devise Code 28 No drivers are installed."
On the Realtek PCI GBE Family controller I get "Devise cannot find enough resourses that it can use Code 12 If you want to use this devise -disable another devise on the system" When I update the drivers I get drivers are up to date.
Sorry to be so long winded but I need to correct these faults. Any help or advise would be appreciated.Thank you. Geoff

2011-02-21T13:36:29+00:00 The Nvidia card functions fine under win7 or Vista, 'couldnt get it to work' doesnt really say anything, latest drivers are here;

You dont give details of your PC make/model so I can only give general guidence; Go to your PC makers site and download all the win7 specific drivers, if a generic desktop, then the motherboard makers site.

2011-01-13T17:21:32+00:00 Have you tried to use he Windows 7 "System Restore" so as to revert back to a "time" before your "attempted" install of the nVidia 8400 card?
The nVidia 8400 card should work in Windows 7, either 32 or 64 bit, with the drivers from www.nvidia.com site. The bundled CD would probably not have the Windows 7 driver on it as the 8400 was initially released "years" before Windows 7.
