Hi appstgirl,

To change the default folder for extracting files, follow the steps mentioned below.

a.    Right click on the compressed file and choose to extract all.

b.    Now On the “Select a destination and extract files”, choose the destination folder by clicking on Browse.

c.    Click on Next to extract the file to the destination folder.

Hope this information is helpful and let me know if you need any further assistance.

I have been looking for the same answer but no luck yet.

I have found it is slightly easier if you're wanting to extract a few different files to the same folder to browse to the location of the first one and then copy the path and then each time it comes to select location just paste it in.

Slightly quicker than browsing every time.

Thank you.  That does work for one compressed file, but it does not save that destination.  If I change it for one file, it reverts back to the original folder.  I want it to always compress to a different location.  I tried looking for a 'compressed folder destination option' in Control Panel but could not find one.

    Any other thoughts?
