I have Windows 7 Ultimate (32 bits version) in English and I want to change the language to Spanish by default. I tried downloading the language pack through Windows Update some time ago but got an error and I don't know how to manually download and install it. I have been trying to install a LIP for Spanish on top of my English default language but i think there isn't one available or at least couldn't find it. I need some instructions to manually download and install the Spanish language pack or a link for a LIP of the Spanish language. Thanks

Hi Ronnie,

there is no "direct download link" on your suggested site, only a "Learn how" link which repeats that MUI language packs (opposed to LIPs) are only available by Windows Update. Direct download links exist (on other locations) but I would not recommend to use them, the better way is retrying the WU download; if there are errors, please - alexjb88 - tell us what error messages you got. A "LIP of the Spanish language" doesn't exist because Spanish is not a "regional culture" extension of English (like Basque or Catalan for Spanish).

Hi alexjb88

Please post the details of the error message you are seeing when you try to download the language pack from Windows Update.

Go to the following website.

Download Languages for Windows 7

Scroll down to the Spanish section and click the Learn How link to see the instructions for downloading the language pack.

See the following website for the installation instructions.

I had the same problem when I tried downloading the Spanish language pack on my windows 7 ultimate (32-bit). I use to get error code 80200010. I was confused then I decided to see if the antivirus was interfering with the download and installation.  I temporarily disabled my antivirus system and it worked. Now I can switch from English to Spanish when I want
