I cant get my Freecom external hard drive to work on my computer

I have windows7 64bit on my computer, I cant get my external freecom hard drive reconised on my computer,any Ideas?? It Justwont appear or work on my computer

    Hi,

    ·        Do you see any yellow bang in the device manager?

    ·        What happens exactly when you try to open the hard drive?

    I would suggest you to follow these steps and check if the issue is fixed.

    a)     Open Device Manager by clicking the  Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Security, and then, under System, clicking Device Manager. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.‌

    b)     In the list of hardware categories, find the device, and then double-click the device name.

    **c)**Click the  Driver tab, click Uninstall Driver.

    d)     Restart the computer, let Windows find drivers automatically.

    You may also run Check disk to check for errors in external hard drive. Follow the instructions in the below mentioned link.

    I am having the same problem as the person above.  It does not show in the computer list but it does show under device and printers but I cannot access it from there.  Have looked at device manager and there is nothing there in yellow that would suggest a problem. Also I don't seem to be able to find the actual name in device manager.  Everything seems to be working okay.  I tried it on a small laptop which also has windows 7 and it took in the driver okay there but again it would not work.  Could Kaspersky have something to do with it?  I did try closing Kaspersky but it still didn't work.  Any other suggestions would be of help, thanks.  I have had it working on this machine before so it is obviously something that has changed for it not to work now.

    When plugged in, does the drive show in the list in Computer Management/Disk Management in Control Panel?
