My dvd drive is not recognizing my cd's or dvd's.  Under the device manager it shows the drive with a yellow exclamation mark.  It also gives me a code 39 saying that the driver may need updating or corrupted.  I've tried all the troubleshooting ideas, but nothing has worked and there are no new updates.  I need to get this to work for my employment.  Please offer any advice possible. Thanks.

    Hi,

Error code 39: Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

Matshita or Matsushita is a Panasonic product. I was not able to locate a driver for the model that you have mentioned in your post, so it better that you contact Panasonic for further assistance and check whether they have released any new updates or firmware for your DVD drive. Check the link mentioned below.

You can also check with the manufacturer of your system for further assistance.

I would suggest you to update the driver for the DVD and check whether the issue is resolved. Check the link mentioned below.
