    Hi Dick Muralt,

AutoCAD LT 2000 is not compatible with Windows 7 Operating system.

    Method 1:

You may try installing this program in Windows XP compatibility mode which should make this program work.

    a.   Once you download the program on Windows 7 computer, right click the Program icon.

    b.   Click on Properties and click Compatibility Tab.

    c.    Now put check mark for Run this program in Compatibility Mode for and select the Windows XP SP2 by clicking the dropdown.

    d.   Click Apply and click OK.

You may use Compatibility Wizard before installing the program.

    Method 2:

If you are still unable to use this program on Windows 7, you may try installing Windows XP mode. Using Windows XP Mode, you can run programs that were designed for Windows XP on computers running Windows 7 Professional, Enterprise, or Ultimate editions that also meet certain hardware requirements.
