Config.Sys missing

My Config.Sys file appears to be missing, preventing me from booting up Windows XP Home edition.  I also do not have the original Windows installs CD's.  Any suggestions.  Also, it appears the laptop will not support Windows 7.  Thank You.

    Hi RJCF,

    ·Provide the exact error message or error code you are receiving when trying to boot to the computer?

    Try booting the computer using Last known good configuration, you may refer the below link for the steps:

    If that does not help, you may have to contact the manufacturer of the computer for support options.
