Original title:Network Error

I have been having constant problems while playing Microsoft games.  Backgammon and Spades...  while in the middle of a game, I receive this message... This is the most recent one:  "Network error occurred while communicating with the game server.  Error code  0x80041006

I never had this problem before I upgraded to windows 7.  I use to have XP.  I also miss the old game formats and Internet Hearts.  Especially playing against people from other countries.  Wish I never got Windows 7!!

    Hi bttrcp1016,

Your Firewall program could be causing this issue; I would suggest you to try the following steps:

**Step 1:**Disable the Security Software\Firewall Program and then test; follow the steps mentioned in the link below

    Disable-antivirus-software

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Disable-antivirus-software

    Open a port inWindows Firewall

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Open-a-port-in-Windows-Firewall

You may configure your Firewall to allow access to these games. If you are using a third-party Firewall program check the program documentation to accomplish this.

Important: Enable the security software back once everything is done.

Seriously? His post clearly states he's using Windows 7 and the first thing you ask is "What is the operating system installed on the computer?"

And then you wonder why people think support techs are idiots.

With the condition and history of something as simple as the game server for windows 7, WHY would anyone trust that windows 10 is worth installing.  And the constant reminders to install Windows 10....If Micr5osoft can't maintain Game Server then what is the point to install operating system 10?  How can you or anyone be expected to trust your computer would operate on Windows 10???
