Can I delete my folder structure and put all my files in one main folder

Hi

I would like to delete a rather complicated filing structure and pull all of them into just one folder for now.  So rather than going to documents/folder 1/folder a/folder i etc.. I can just just go to documents.

It would take too long to do this by going into every folder and moving the files, so any shortcuts would be hugely appreciated!

Thanks

    I just tried this with the Documents library. Using Details view and withInclude subfolders... selected at Tools > Folder Options > Search, in the search box type

    * type:(NOT folder)

    This should result in a listing ofall files inDocuments. Then press Ctrl-A to select All to cut or copy to where you want them. I would copy to a new empty folder underMy Documents  before deleting anything. If you have theType  column visible, you may see some types of file - shortcuts, for example - that you're not particularly interested in cluttering up your new streamlined folder with. When you're quite sure this is what you want to do, you could delete everything inMy Documents except the new folder, then move its contents one level up.

    I have never used this program but it seems to have a feature that may help.  Looks like they have a free trial.

    Program:  Copywhiz

    Found here:

    The Feature that may help : "Collect files and paste at once"

    Without using a utility like this you would need to write the batch file, script, or program yourself (or find one to do it for you).
