You may try the following and see if it helps.
**Method 1:**Check whether there are any issues with the DirectX installed on the system. Use DXDiag to troubleshoot any direct X related problems. DxDiag ("DirectX Diagnostics") is a diagnostics tool used to test DirectX functionality and troubleshoot video- or sound-related hardware problems. Check the article mentioned below.
**Method 2:**Certain games are older than DirectX 11 and can't recognize them. They may need some optional files only included in DirectX 9 (which are not automatically part of a newer DirectX version).
You can download and install DirectX 9.0c and see if it helps.
